More about Secrets of the Knysna Forest

Bhejane 4x4 Adventures, with special permission from SANParks, invite you to join them on a professionally guided self-drive exploration of the deep Knysna forest where the forest's secrets will be shared.

This place on our doorstep has been closed to all forms of traffic for almost a hundred years. It is a place which holds many secrets and abounds with life and beauty. The excursion begins as we enter the Bhejane concession area just north of the Garden of Eden where the guide will give a full introduction and description of the morning's activities.

Road conditions are safe and ecologically friendly. A 4x4, 2x4 and SUV with good ground clearance are required to accommodate the middle mannetjie on the forest tracks. Participants of all ages are welcome as the forest offers a unique experience for everyone. Photo opportunities are many, so don't forget your cameras. You may also wish to bring a jacket, bird and tree books, binoculars and comfortable shoes (although we won't be walking any long distances).

PLEASE NOTE: These excursions are FULLY GUIDED and entrance into this concession cannot be made without a Bhejane Guide. This is an all weather activity. Rain or shine the unique habitat of this special place offers something special, just bring something warm to wear and we'll bring the coffee!
