Discovering how people perceived Johannesburg to be so dangerous I found it interesting & heartbreaking. It would be our mission to show people a different side of this beautiful city that We grew up in and how it’s history is shaping the young generation of South Africa and help understand where the country is headed.
Our aim is to make it easy for travelers to explore our city in the most authentic and educational way. stories about South Africa told by Sowetans.

The tour through Soweto was really nice. We saw a large part of Orlando. We even were in a local bar and played pool there. All in all it was very nice!

Loved the virtual photoshoot! It was so fun and comfortable and I'll cherish the pictures forever. Marie is so friendly and warm, she gave great direction and made me feel comfortable.

Sipho was a great guide on this virtual tour! I visited South Africa in 2018 but did not do a township tour at that time. I found this virtual tour interesting and fast moving. I learned a lot of things and was never bored. Sipho has very up-to-date information from people in the community. I felt like I was getting an "insider's view" of Soweto, not the filtered view that we get through most media outlets. I also appreciated his young, fresh, positive and enthusiastic perspective. I would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in South Africa, urban housing, black liberation movements, and young people's liberation movements.

Our tour of Soweto was so enlightening. There was so much I learned and so many beautiful and interesting places visited (virtually of course!) Our guide Sipho was knowledgeable and passionate it was a very intimate tour with only a few family members so we really felt like we had our own private tour. Thank you again, and I hope one day we will be able to get to SA in person to experience its beauty and culture! Cathy
