Routes traverse along the river contour and cross over the world-famous Magliesberg mountains. Including breathtaking views of Hartbeespoort Dam and its surroundings. Harties Routes 6km, 8km, and 10km options.

Ratings 6km is rated as easy 8km and 10km options are rated intermediate

Briefings Briefing is mandatory for 1st time trail users. Please be on time for your briefing time slot. If you’ve done the trail before, you do still need to book for your hike but no need to stay for the hike briefing.

Food Options Breakfast and Lunch options are available. Spots are limited with restaurant seating. Remember sunblock, hats, and plenty of water! The guideline for an adult is 1 liter of water per 2 hours of hiking. The 8km route should take around 3.5 hours depending on fitness.

This is a hiking trail, not a garden stroll – comfortable hiking shoes are needed.

Park at the hiking trail parking. Follow the signage as you arrive at The Rusty Feather to the hiking trail. Here, you will sign in and pay.
