A half-day wine tour is a great way to get a first impression of South Africa’s award-winning wines and wine estates. This wine tour visits Stellenbosch the country’s major wine-producing area. On the half-day wine tour, you’ll go on a cellar tour and also taste wines.
You’ll also have an opportunity to do a cheese tasting and a wine-and-biltong pairing at one of the wine estates. You’ll be able to buy wines directly from the wine estates once you’ve found one you like. The half-day wine tour includes a picnic lunch and pick up and drop off at your hotel.

It was a great experience. Siya was an amazing guide who gave so much extra information while traveling between wineries. The wine and snack selection at our stops was great. I high recommend this trip if you only have a few hours.

Disappointed with the Zevenwacht tour as we could not hear what the estate guide was saying in the cellar....and most of the others on the tour couldn't hear as well. However the wine was very pleasant. Would have liked a brief photo stop at some of the old buildings particularly in Stellenbosch. At the Marianne Estate, the setting was nice, however I am not a wine snob, but all the wines were served in the same glass!! Biltong was lovely. The tour guide/driver was very informative.

The driver/guide was great. Weather was terrible (strong rain), but the tour was certainly one of the better options of things to do in this kind of weather. Due to some last minute re-bookings I spent the first hour in the bus just for picking up the other guests at opposite places in Cape Town. This time was then missing for a bit more sightseeing in Stellenbosch or so. Otherwise it was a very pleasant experience (great wines!).
