More about Full-day Kruger Safari

There is a unique magic that only happens at dawn in the Kruger National Park, and we invite you to experience the African bush as it awakens on this comprehensive full-day safari. Your expedition begins at 05:00 with a comfortable transfer to the park gates, where you’ll settle into the spirit of the wild with a delicious cup of coffee or tea and traditional rusks before the true exploration begins. We focus our search in the premier Satara region, an area world-famous for its high concentration of lions and spectacular wildlife sightings, guided by the deep expertise of our professional team. At midday, we’ll break for a hearty meal at the Satara Rest Camp restaurant (for your own account), allowing you to soak in the atmosphere and browse the camp shops for high-quality keepsakes. As the midday sun softens and the golden hour approaches, the bush transforms, offering some of the best lighting for photography and a final chance to spot bucket-list sightings. This tour, renowned for its glowing guest feedback, concludes as we leave the park with a transfer back to your overnight accommodation in Hoedspruit.

Arrangements

Duration:

12 hours

When:

7 days a week, year round

Where:

Guests' overnight accommodation

Weather:

Even if the weather is inclement, your safari will proceed - animals frequent the roads when it is raining to avoid walking in the wet grass. The roads also retain heat which the animals enjoy in cooler weather.

What to Wear:

1) Even in winter, temperatures can exceed 30 degrees Celcius so we recommend comfortable cool clothing. 2) No need to purchase or wear special neutral-coloured clothing - a normal tshirt and shorts or jeans in winter are appropriate for a Kruger safari 3) We recommend that you have closed shoes or sneakers for climbing in and out of the open safari vehicle but as it does get really hot, flip flops or sandals can also work. 4) Please bring a windbreaker/ jacket no matter the season as the OSV can be windy and chilly in the early mornings and evenings. In winter, a scarf and beanie are definitely worth bringing. 5) We also recommend a tight-fitting hat or cap and sunglasses.

Things to bring:

Binoculars and camera are recommended, sun protection/sunscreen, ID/Passport, credit card for SANPARKS entrance/conservation fee & purchases as the Kruger is generally a cash free zone, cash for gratuities

Guests or Spectators:

Please note that if you have children under the age of two, we recommend that you consider booking a a Full-day Private Kruger Safari - exactly the same activity, just customised to accommodate your children.
