Cederberg 4 - Day Hiking Experience Monday - Thursday Mountains, Rock Formations, and Rooibos Trails: A Wild Week in the Wilderness

This adventure-filled tour is perfect for hikers and nature lovers who want to experience the raw beauty of the Cederberg. From adrenaline at the Atlantis Dunes to ancient caves, legendary hikes, and local wine and tea tastings—this is a full-sensory escape into one of South Africa’s most spectacular mountain regions.

Day 1: Cape Town – Atlantis Dunes – Darling – Stadsaal Caves (Cederberg) Depart Cape Town early and head to the Atlantis Dunes for a thrilling quad biking session across the white sand dunes with views of Table Mountain in the distance. Continue up the West Coast for a relaxed lunch in Darling, a charming town known for its wildflowers and country hospitality. Arrive in the Cederberg Mountains by late afternoon and explore the Stadsaal Caves, where centuries-old San rock art meets dramatic sandstone formations. Toast the first evening with sundowners at a scenic lookout. Overnight: Cederberg

Day 2: Hike to Wolfberg Arch via the Cracks & Craft Beer Tasting Begin the day with the iconic hike to Wolfberg Arch, one of the Cederberg’s most legendary trails. Scramble through the Wolfberg Cracks and ascend to the awe-inspiring natural stone arch that towers over the wilderness. Return in the afternoon for a well-earned craft beer tasting at your lodge or local mountain brewery. Relax and soak in the mountain views. Overnight: Cederberg

Day 3: Disa Pool or Lot’s Wife Trail & Cederberg Wine Tasting Choose a more moderate hike to the scenic Disa Pool, known for its cool, clear water and tranquil setting, or explore the quirky rock formation known as Lot’s Wife. In the afternoon, enjoy a guided wine tasting at Cederberg Wines, one of South Africa’s most remote and award-winning high-altitude estates. Overnight: Cederberg

Day 4: Maltese Cross Hike – De Tol Tea Tasting – Cape Town Conclude your Cederberg adventure with a morning hike to the striking Maltese Cross, a pillar of rock standing proudly against the mountain skyline. After the hike, descend the pass and stop at De Tol Farm Deli for a Rooibos tea tasting and light lunch, celebrating the region’s famous fynbos tea culture. Depart back to Cape Town, arriving late afternoon.
