Southern Right Whale Watching Experience – Hermanus

Each year, from June to November, the calm, nutrient-rich waters of Walker Bay near Hermanus become a sanctuary for one of the ocean’s most awe-inspiring creatures the Southern Right Whale. Migrating from the icy waters of Antarctica, these giants arrive with a singular purpose: to mate, calve, and nurture their young. Our specially curated experience gives you the opportunity to witness these magnificent whales up close, in their natural environment. Known for their sheer size, gentle nature, and acrobatic displays, Southern Right Whales are a rare and unforgettable sight. Their playfulness, combined with their tender care for their calves, makes each encounter deeply moving and memorable. To ensure a safe, respectful, and enriching experience, we partner with leading whale watching teams, including marine biologists and a highly skilled boat crew. Their expertise brings a deeper understanding to your journey, elevating it beyond sightseeing into a truly educational and emotional adventure.

Come join us for an intimate encounter with these gentle giants of the deep it’s one of the most remarkable natural spectacles South Africa has to offer.
