More about Night Crocodile Cage Dive

Experience being 'hunted' in the dark by Africa’s largest predator: hop into the waters of our crocodile cage while our biggest crocs try to get their own evening snack! These limited night dives promise to be both a safe and terrifying experience that you will never forget! The night cage dives are preceded by a sunset croc pond tour - meet the resident bask of 200 crocs on an informative tour offered by the facilitator of the night cage dive. This sunset tour and night cage dive is a very personal facilitation by guides who are passionate about educating participants about the African Nile crocodile. It offers a glimpse of the passion that drives these guides - to quote Andree Mcfarlane: 'The Nile crocodile are the true kings of Africa. They slip so easily between being explosive killing devices...to being a graceful silent animal who has spent an eternity watching the stories of Africa come and go from its life giving waters. The crocodile cage dive is a passion of mine as it provides anyone brave enough the chance to enter into the world of the crocodile safely.'

Spend around 20 minutes in the crocs’ watery habitat and get to observe how these ambush predators behave in their element. The crocodile cage diving experience is both underwater and at the surface level. Capture this once-in-a-lifetime experience on your mobile device - cellphone pouches may be rented on-site. This experience is available for all water-safe ages, and the dates thereof are predetermined on a weekly basis.

All our animal experiences are PAPA approved, assessed, and rated by 'Wild Choices', and puts the reptiles' free will paramount. Similar to there being no guarantee of seeing a wild animal up close while traveling through a game park, no croc is or can be forced against its will to approach the cage. You will still be afforded the opportunity to view them from a closer vantage point than would ever be safe in the wild - and should the crocs be particularly shy on your dive experience, our guides will introduce additional value via a supplementary reptile experience.
