We celebrated my wife's birthday at Solitude Clarens, and it was nothing short of unforgettable. This place is truly spectacular; words hardly do it justice. The cabin is beautifully nestled in the mountains, offering a perfect balance of luxury and comfort. It is spacious, warm, and incredibly homely, making it easy to relax from the moment you arrive. Natural light fills the space throughout the day, and the large windows provide uninterrupted views of the stunning landscape from almost every corner of the house. One of the absolute highlights is the deck, which offers breathtaking panoramic views. Each morning, we were treated to the most beautiful sunrises while enjoying our coffee or a refreshing glass of mimosa, an experience that felt both peaceful and surreal. The hot tub was another standout feature, perfect for unwinding while soaking in the scenery. As avid braai lovers, we were especially impressed with the generous braai area, which made for some memorable evenings. Lastly, our host, was exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our stay was perfect, making the entire experience even more special and seamless.
