Seal Kayaking & Sandwich Harbour Full-Day Adventure Departure: 08:30 | Return: ±16:30 Includes: Pick-up & drop-off, park fees, sea kayaking, dune drive, light brunch & lunch with local beverages
Ready for a day you’ll never forget? This tour is wild, soulful, salty, and golden all in one — a full-day journey where the Atlantic Ocean kisses the desert, and seals become your paddling companions.
We begin your adventure with a pick-up from your accommodation in Swakopmund or Walvis Bay — at 08:00 and 08:30 respectively — and the magic begins the moment the wheels turn.
Our first scenic stop is at the Walvis Bay Lagoon, where elegant flamingos paint the shallows pink and white. Then it’s off to the Salt Mines and Pink Salt Lakes, a photographer’s dream, shimmering in soft pastel tones.
From here, we head deep into the wild to Pelican Point, a raw and windswept stretch of coastline where Cape Fur Seals, pelicans, jackals, and seabirds thrive. Near the rusted bones of an old tugboat wreck, we gear up and launch the kayaks — the highlight begins.
Now you’re floating on the ocean. Just you, your paddle, the breeze... and thousands of seals. They glide, splash, and play around your kayak — curious, fearless, and full of joy. This isn’t a show. This is real, wild Namibia.
After an unforgettable paddle (2–3 hours), we return to shore where a light brunch with local beverages is served beachside. Then we swap paddles for 4x4s, and the second half of your adventure begins.
Now we head into the desert. Through the !Nara Valley, we search for desert wildlife like oryx, springbok, and ostrich, winding past patches of unexpected green.
And then, you reach it. Sandwich Harbour. Where towering dunes collapse into crashing Atlantic waves — a meeting of earth’s rawest elements. It's beautiful, it's bold, it’s pure Namibian drama.
We find a remote spot, high in the dunes, and serve a light desert lunch. The silence is deep. The view? A memory etched forever. And then… it’s time to ride.
Hold on tight as we tackle the iconic dune slip faces and salt flats — an adrenaline-filled dune drive that winds us back toward Walvis Bay along the ocean’s edge.
This is a bucket-list day for ocean lovers, thrill seekers, and storytellers. It’s playful, it’s peaceful, it’s Namibia in her wildest form.
