We offer complimentary pick-up and drop-off from your accommodation in Swakopmund.

Drop-Off:
Guests will be returned to the same location after the tour, approximately between 16:00 and 17:00, depending on weather and fishing conditions
Minimum wind speed: Tour operates only in winds up to 25 km/h; higher winds may affect safety and fish activity.
Sea conditions: Waves should not exceed 1 meter; rough surf will lead to rescheduling or cancellation.
No trip during storms: Tours are canceled or postponed in cases of thunderstorms, heavy fog, or poor visibility for safety reasons.
Temperature range: Ideal temperatures are between 15 °C and 30°C; extreme heat or cold may result in shortened trips.
High tide vs low tide conditions: Optimal fishing occurs within 2 hours before and after high tide—our guides adjust timing accordingly.
Rain and drizzle: Light rain is acceptable if winds and sea remain calm; heavy rain leads to postponement.
Operator discretion: The guide reserves the right to cancel or alter the tour due to any unsafe weather conditions.
Communication: If weather issues arise, guests will be notified at least 5 hours before departure and offered an alternative date or refund.
What to Wear:
Comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing — we recommend dressing in layers to adapt to cool mornings and warmer midday sun
A light windbreaker or waterproof jacket – the Atlantic breeze can be chilly, and sea spray is common
Closed shoes or sandals with good grip – you’ll be walking on sandy, possibly wet beach terrain
Long-sleeved shirt and light trousers or shorts to protect against sun and wind
Cap or wide-brimmed hat for sun protection
Sunglasses (preferably polarized for better visibility on the water)
What to Bring:
Comfortable outdoor clothing (layers recommended for changing coastal weather)
Windbreaker or waterproof jacket
Closed shoes or sandals with grip (you’ll be walking on the beach)

Meeting Point:
Swakopmund – exact location will be shared via email or WhatsApp upon confirmation.
Start Time:
08:00 AM – Please arrive 15 minutes early for a short briefing.
Duration:
Full day (approximately 8 hours)
Fitness Level Required:
Moderate – some walking on sand is required. Not suitable for guests with limited mobility unless prior arrangements are made.
Language:
Tours are conducted in English. German- or Afrikaans-speaking guides may be available on request.
Children:
Minimum age: 12 years. All minors must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Fishing Permit Requirement: In accordance with Namibian law, a shore-based fishing permit is required for all participants. Permit Details: Cost: N$14.00 per person (valid for one month) Where to Get It: Available at the Fisheries Office, located at the Swakopmund Aquarium on the beachfront Opening Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 (08:-12:00) on weekends and public holidays) Important Note: If you do not already have a valid fishing permit, please inform us in advance. We can assist with guidance or collection prior to your tour. Failure to present a valid permit may result in being unable to participate in the activity, as per Namibian regulations.
