Deon Van Schalkwyk South African born and with his passion for the West Coast, convinced his life partner Marion to settle down in the quiet area of Paternoster in 2003. After 24 years of Air force duty he called it a day to start a new life along the coastline to open Farr Out Guesthouse . In 2009 he decided to study again and became a qualified Tour Guide for the Western Cape. This gave him the opportunity to take out the guests for casual strolls in the Beach Buggy to share the interesting stories and history of the West Coast.

Deon starts his tailor-made tours at Farr Out Guesthouse at the outskirts of the village or alternatively picks you up form your place of stay in Paternoster, gives away a little bit of the interesting history of Paternoster before he goes through thick sand and dunes along the dirt tracks of Paternoster bay over to Duikereiland and back. Please note the Beach Buggy is NOT a 4X4, but be surprised where this vehicle is able to take you!
