More about Full-Day Schotia Reserve & Gir

TRUE WILDLIFE EXPERIENCE

Schotia Safaris is the oldest private game reserve in the Eastern Cape of South Africa, bordering the eastern side of Addo Elephant National Park.

Enjoy your Safari in South Africa on this malaria free reserve, which is probably the most densely stocked reserve in Africa, and with over 40 mammal species and approximately 2000 animals, can offer consistently good game viewing throughout the year.

Schotia was the first reserve in the Cape Province to have free roaming lions and we can almost guarantee sightings of these magnificent animals on every game drive.

Spend the day exploring Schotia Private Game Reserve, followed by a Giraffe Tracking on foot experience with one of our expert local guides! Starting the morning with The Big 5 Wildlife viewing in the oldest private game reserve in South Africa named Schotia Private Game Reserve situated in the Eastern Cape. We get the opportunity to view Wildlife their natural habitat.

After a Traditional South African braai lunch in the heart of Schotia Private Game Reserve we embark on a guided Giraffe Walk on another Private Game Reserve nearby for the afternoon. We have the opportunity to view these majestic animals on foot.

Absolutely fantastic, we had the best day. Saw lots and lots of different animals ,including all big 5 , apart from the leopard ?. Riaan our guide was amazing, his knowledge of the countryside, places we passed through and all the animals was outstanding. Walking with the giraffes was a once in a lifetime time treat, we were able to get close to them and take some amazing photos. Would highly recommended this tour. A 5* TOUR!!!

Vielen Dank!!?

Great Tour! Ruag was so kind, patient, and personable. We could tell it was a little challenging to find wild animals, yet he never gave up and probably spent a little more time with our day than expected and we really appreciated his extra efforts. We would highly recommend this tour to others. Would rather have had African lunch yet what was provided was delicious.

What a brilliant day! This felt like such an authentic safari experience within th safe confines of the Schotia Game Rserve. We were lucky enough to see 4 of the big 5 (no leopards) as well as countless other African wildlife - zebra, hippo, warthogs, so many types of deer etc etc. Close encounters were many and our driver and guide was expert in locating everything we wanted to see as well as giving us so much information. Lunch at a local restaurant was included. We loved it - highly recommended.
