I had such a fantastic time at Gunnery Arms and Ammo. My review summary is as follows: - The business is very accommodating and let me choose a custom firearm experience and add an additional shooter to the experience so my wife could also join. - The range is a 11 meter indoor range, adequate for learning or training with firearms. Only downside is it lacks the same enjoyment factor that an outdoor range can bring. - The staff are extremely knowledgeable, helpful and always keen to chat. - The shooting range experience I did was fantastic. My instructor went above and beyond to give me some firearm history related to my chosen firearms as well as teaching my wife and myself the basics of shooting. - The business has a large range of both modern and historical firearms for you to choose from. I would definitely recommend coming here to try out a shooting experience! Longer version: I don't often get to visit shooting ranges. Thus far I've only done so on my birthdays to celebrate. I've tried out both the Clay pigeon adventures at Lourensford and this one as of now. Despite Lourensford having a stunning outdoor range, I have to say that I enjoyed my experience at Gunnery Arms and Ammo more! Naturally, it depends heavily on what sort of experience you are looking for. I enjoy both historical weapons and having a slower more interactive experience, and seeing as I do not own a firearm of my own, the shooting range experience is the only way for me to get that. Our instructor was Selwyn and he absolutely blew us both away with his knowledge and his ability to teach. I feel like I learned a lot about how to shoot, as well as got a really interactive history lesson from him as I worked through each firearm. He was willing to let us ask as many questions as we want, I particularly liked that he allowed me to prepare some of the firearms to shoot, by allowing me to insert the magazine and rack the slide. This was far more interactive than my previous shooting experiences, and it increased my enjoyment of it immensely. Lastly, what sets this place aside from other places offering shooting experiences is the large range of weapons that they have available. They have a nice mix of fun, modern weapons as well as some older platforms with some history behind them. I will definitely be coming back here to shoot some more and would highly recommend you to try them out if you also like a more interactive and educational shooting experience like me.

The booking process is simple and efficient. I always seem to get the slot that I prefer. The range is always clean and everything is nice and tidy. Staff are always available for assistance and we have the assurance that everything will be ok as they do monitor the range via cctv should there be any type of emergency.My firearm is currently in storage with Gunnery and when i go to make use of it I can see that they take care of my beloved glock and it is still in a pristine condition just like i left it.My wife noticed a tripod and wanted to film her first experience shooting a firearm and Dean and team in their natural friendly manner of course said she can make use of it. I do not have my own PPE but there is always a set of eyes and ears that are neatly hung at the entrance and are always in a clean and working manner. I only booked 45 minutes but went a few minutes over because of having to take my wife through all the safety rules and the team did not once come in and say hey your time is up you need to get out. My wife really enjoyed he first time and now that the bug has bitten she is asking me when can we go again. Thank Dean for your service and creating a friendly and welcoming environment, we surely will be bakc and of course I will be purchasing more firearms, we can never have enough

I surprised my partner with the John Wick experience at Gunnery Gun Shop & Range in Somerset West, and it was absolutely phenomenal from start to finish.
