Situated west of Hartbeesport Dam alongside the Elephant sanctuary it provides an environment where monkeys (primates) can be given their freedom in a natural environment. The sanctuary situated in one of the many Kloofs (Gorges) of the Magaliesberg mountain range provides the perfect environment for Monkeys from around the world.
Tours of the Monkey Sanctuary take place seven days a week, and are led by knowledgeable guides through indigenous forests on elevated wooden walkways, past waterfalls and even through the treetops.

What a fantastic experience! I think I enjoyed it as much as the kids. The guide, David was excellent and the interaction with the monkeys was emotionally moving. The only downside was that there is no food available on site.

This tour far exceeded my expectations. The tour guide was really knowlegable and the facilities are a wow. At feeding time we were swarmed by dozens of assorted monkeys all eating from the bowls of food we had. What a great experience After that we took a walk through their amazing enclosure, next to streams, across rope bridges and under tree canopies. I would have no hesitation in recommending this experience to friends and family.
