The Constantia Wine Tour
The Constantia Wine Tour offers a unique wine experience in the first and most historic wine region established outside of Europe. Established in 1685, Constantia wine became world famous during the 18th and 19th centuries.
We are a team of wine-loving enthusiasts and enjoy sharing our knowledge of the Cape Winelands and its delicious wine. To provide an authentic wine tasting experience, we often spend time with the farmers, getting to know the latest news and events, so that we can provide you with the best wine touring experience possible.
During the current century, there have been exciting new developments in Constantia, particularly in the northern mountainous reaches. A passionate new breed of boutique winemakers has established the new Constantia wineries of Eagle’s Nest, High Constantia, Constantia Glen, Constantia Mist, Beau Constantia and Silvermist. (The Constantia Wine Tour is the only wine tour that has been granted access via four-wheel-drive vehicles to the highest of these mountain vineyards for their breathtaking views.)

We had a beautiful experience and a very chilled day which we were able to enjoy at our own pace. The wines were delicious, the settings wonderful with a mouth watering lunch. An experience that will be remembered for a long time. No expectations and driven around in safety and comfort.

Megan was an excellent & most enjoyable guide we thoroughly enjoyed her company . Steenberg was our favourite by far. Constancia Groot was to be honest disappointing and the tour guide was dull beyond words and we could hardly hear her. l it came as a relief that we spotted some people on the top of VATS and were able to break away from the group and listen to what they were doing ( others followed) far more interesting and informative to learn and see more about the process than how the vineyard started. Wine tasting again compared with Steenberg you felt the staff were going the motions . Steenberg on the other hand was a pleasure to listen to and a joy to learn Lunch at Constancia Groot was pleasant but you felt as though you were on a conveyer belt we would never go back Steenberg was in a different league The small vineyard we visited was very nice indeed
