More about Three Wine Districts Wine Tour

The historic Cape Winelands are possibly set in the world’s most beautiful countryside with dramatic, expansive vistas of mountains, vineyards, and ocean. The South African wine regions consist of 30 Wine Districts, all very different. We will visit three of them during the day, usually Paarl, Stellenbosch and Franschhoek. You will enjoy wonderful scenery as we move between the different valleys and enjoy superb wine and food. You will learn about terroir and its influence on the grapes, as well as our Culture, History, and Cuisine.

Your guide and host Jim, guides history, culture, nature, and wine in English and Swedish. He is Cape Town born and has lived most of his life here. He knows all sorts of special places. His love for South Africa motivated him to qualify as a tourist guide and today he is doing what he loves most, sharing his passion for his country and its people. You can ask him what you like.

Opinions On Three Wine Districts Wine Tour

What the locals say about Three Wine Districts Wine Tour.

Cindy Kundig

The wine tour with Jim is an excellent way to spend a day in South Africa. It gives you the opportunity to visit a few wineries in a day all around Paarl, Stellenbosch, Franschhoek or Swartland, learn a lot of interesting historical facts and background/ origins about different wineries and of course wine making - as Jim is a winemaker himself. He also is very knowleadgeable about the history of South Africa and can answer any questions you might have. An obvious plus is that you do not have to drive yourself, and therefore don't have to worry about tasting and enjoying all the wines. He also makes sure to accomodate any preferences and wishes and we greatly enjoyed having the option to book a private tour, which makes the experience a lot more personal and feel less ,,touristy". My family and I have all been on a few different tours with Jim and have recommended Jim's tours to all of our friends visiting South Africa. We look forward to our next tour!
