The weather on table mountain can change in an instant so a light mid-layer and a rain jacket will ensure that you stay dry and warm if we find our selves in between the clouds.

What to Wear:

Well supportive closed-toe walking shoes with good grip are a must. Cape town does experience very hot days in the summer and a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and water will be needed. A long sleeve button-up shirt with a collar provides great sun coverage.

Opinions On Lion's Head

What the locals say about Lion's Head.

Linda Lewis

A great guide to talked about a variety of topics. Very helpful in guiding us both up and down. Great at arranging a time to suit us and we were very glad to have started our walk at 5am so we could see the sunrise. It also meant we were down before it got hot. A great experience

Our guide Dohann Cronje was excellent. We had a lot of fun on our mountain hike and Dohann knows a lot about the fauna and flora in the region. He guided us very safely through the mountains. We can recommend Dohann unreservedly as a guide. Thank you very much.
