We are enourmously thankful to our guide Dohann to give us the most amazing experience of Table Mountain our second day in Cape Town and will recommend this trip to anyone who loves a hike and enjoy botanics! He is so knowledgable of South African flora and fauna and grasped our interest with enthusiasm. The hike was designed as we walked, based on our energy and wishes. We started from Kirstenbosch gardens, went up Skeleton Gorge (steep but gorgeous), to the water reservoir, towards Castle Rock and back on the green side of the mountain. Great walk for various landscapes, good birding and flower observations and if youre not good with steep heights. Bring lots of water and snacks and consider what you want to see and add a few hours, we were hiking for 5 hours. Consider to talk with the guide on forehand to get more info as the website is a bit short on that. Again, to be recommended if you want to sense the landscape you walk through in micro and macro view with lovely company!

I recently went on a guided hike up Table Mountain via the India Venster route, and it turned out to be one of the most rewarding experiences I've had. Initially, I was hesitant and considered choosing an easier route, but after discussing it with my guide, Dohann, I decided to take on the challenge---and I'm so glad I did! The hike was tough, with some sections requiring scrambling and climbing, but thanks to Dohann's expert guidance, I felt confident throughout. I was happy to have some prior climbing and bouldering experience, as it came in handy for the more technical parts. That said, I can't overstate how essential Dohann was in making this hike both safe and enjoyable. His knowledge of the mountain, its unique flora, and his patience with my slower pace were invaluable. He provided clear tips and encouragement during the challenging sections, and his ability to navigate and even assist other hikers along the way was impressive. And then there were the views---absolutely breathtaking! The India Venster route offers spectacular scenery, but the panoramic vistas along the way and at the top made every ounce of effort worth it. If you're considering hiking Table Mountain and want a memorable and well-supported experience, I wholeheartedly recommend booking a guided hike with Dohann. It's an adventure I'll cherish for a long time!

We have booked Dohann as our private guide (for a group of four) and enjoyed a perfect and very beautiful hike up Skeleton Gorge and over table mountain to the cable car.
