It was a wonderful experience, very informative . The instructors had a lot of knowledge to share and were kind and gentle with the elephants. We thoroughly enjoyed our time.

I went to Elephant Whispers with a small group of friends from Switzerland. We all absolutely loved it, it was an experience none of us will ever forget. The view from the place is stunning and we were glad we'd arrived early and had time to take photos and look around the interesting little museum (Tony Blair visited with his family!) For your first look at the elephants you sit in a sort of little arena, and the elephants come in with their carers sitting on their necks. Quite a thrill! Before long we were all standing around the elephant we would be allowed to touch. The man who did the explaining was excellent and we learned a lot about elephants. Actually feeding and touching the huge animal was almost surreal - this wasn't a circus elephant in a European zoo, this was a real African elephant in Africa! The team that cares for these elephants is impressively well informed and competent, we would have liked to chat to every one of them. We didn't go for the ride, but maybe next time! Our little group went to Kruger Park afterwards and we all agreed that we'll never look at elephants quite the same again, we saw many in the park and somehow felt they were friends we wanted to protect. That's what a visit to Elephant Whispers does for you.
