PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MUSEUM CAN ONLY BE VIEWED BY APPOINTMENT.

The Franschhoek Motor Museum offers visitors a special opportunity to look back at more than 100 years of motoring history with its unique and exciting collection of vehicles, motorcycles, bicycles and memorabilia in the magnificent setting of L’Ormarins.

Across the length and breadth of Southern Africa, only one place can adequately portray the evolution of the automobile, The Franschhoek Motor Museum. The museum’s collection exceeds 220 vehicles – ranging from an 1898 Beeston motor tricycle to a 2003 Ferrari Enzo supercar – and more than 80 exhibits will be on view at any one time, displayed in four de-humidified halls with a total floor area of 2700 m², and presented in chronological order.

Opinions On The Franschhoek Motor Museum

What the locals say about The Franschhoek Motor Museum.

Steven Vosper

The wider setting off Franschhoek is just beautiful and then you arrive at the museum with its pristine colonial style buildings showcasing a truly stunning collection of vehicles. Our 12 year old loved it. There’s a nice looking cafe on site and it was lovely and quiet on our visit so plenty of opportunity to properly look at the cars. Well worth the visit.

I recommend a visit to everyone, the venue is exquisite, stylish and it's a great way to spend a day. Booking a vintage car for a drive around the farm is a must. Don't forget to book a wine tasting, it's awesome.
