We joined the 6 hour day safari offered departing from and returning to Sun City. There were only 7 of us on our trip which made it very pleasant in the vehicle and gave us all the ability to ask questions of our wonderful guide - Lolo. She is a young woman who has gathered a lot of interesting information and shares it with a strong passion for the environment and wildlife. We were very fortunate to have her as our guide. The first part of the trip was largely getting our bearings - sighting a number of animals from reasonable distance and getting our eye in spotting animals in the landscape - which was much much harder than we had thought! Elephants and giraffes are very well camouflaged with their colouring against the bush. We were asked to take pictures but use airline mode or turn off mobile phones to help protect the animals we were seeing from being tracked which highlighted the risks of poachers etc that exist. Half-way we stopped for lunch which was very enjoyable and let us see some other animals closer up. After lunch Lolo refocused her efforts to help us see more animals and much closer than before. She was outstanding in her perseverance to help us experience and see as many animals as possible up close. We were lucky to see elephants, giraffes, rhino, hippo, zebra, impala, springbok etc -most very close to our vehicle. We finished our experience at a series of craft stalls which we supported willingly then returned to Sun City. A really great day out that we highly recommend - and would be willing to repeat.

The game drive with lunch was well worth the money. Our guide was knowledgeable and seemed to truly want to provide us with the best game drive experience. The lunch was also ample and delicious. Would recommend this to anyone anytime!

This is a must-do if you're in the Johannesburg area. We had a fabulous time in the Park. Bridence our driver/guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. The lunch was very good too! We also saw a lot of animals which was great.
