More about Half Day Apartheid Museum Tour

Currently only available on Wednesday, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. (Due to Apartheid Museum opening days)

The Apartheid Museum showcases South Africa in the turbulent years of the apartheid era. During this period, millions of people were subjected to a life of servitude, discrimination and oppression until the country was liberated in 1994 and became a democratic society.

The museum illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid through 22 individual exhibition areas, including dramatic film footage. A tour of the museum takes you on an emotional journey; from the heartbreaking struggle for freedom and equality to the ultimate climax of the election of Nelson Mandela, the first Black president of South Africa.
