Plettenberg Bay has a variety of spectacular shallow reefs only a 5-minute boat ride from the beach. These shallow sites showcase the color and beauty of Plett diving and the beauty of the Eastern Cape reefs. The Sea fans are draped in Basket Stars and groups of Shysharks rest in the rocky crevices. Large Red Roman, Zebras and Blacktail share space with numerous species of nudibranchs, orange wall sponge and purple soft coral making for a fireworks display of color! Our most popular dive site is Jacob's reef characterized by a large pinnacle and spectacular wall dive covered in soft corals.
The choice of shallow dive site will be decided on the day based on the weather and sea conditions.

Here i will tell you about the shore entry. my very first shore entry at the beach, and i did it with you guys. amazing experience. i enjoyed playing in the ocean currents on the shore entry dive. it was so cool!!! crabs and octopus was all over - pretty neat.

The dive was awesome as this was first shallow boat dives. We saw different fish and scenery was also different from the off shore dives i have done. The crew were again ready to assist where needed, full of encouragement and made the experience more enjoyable. The boat dives are to be recommended and should be part of diver's experience whenever possible. I will certainly do this again when i next get the chance to come to Plett. Thank you for a wonderful diving experience in 2019.
