This boat trip launches from St Lucia, the southern-most point of Lake St Lucia in the iSimangaliso Wetland Park, which boasts the largest concentration of hippo in South Africa. Crocodiles and whales are prolific, too. You may also see mangrove swamps, oyster banks, and world-renowned dunes.

This two-hour boat trip is hosted on a luxury double-deck passenger ferry, with a sun deck for better viewing. Leaving at 8am, 10am, 12pm, 2pm and 4pm, it is paced at walking speed with intermittent stops, taking you as close as possible to the animals. Explore this incredible natural wonderland

This service is available from early December till late in May. During this period, while the whales may be "out of season," you'll have the chance to marvel at alternative sea creatures that frequent our waters. Join us during this unique time of the year to witness the wonders of the ocean in a different light.

Your safety and comfort are our utmost concern, and we appreciate your understanding in such circumstances.

What to Wear:

Comfortable though warm clothing. Bring an extra set of dry clothes. Make sure your backpack is not too big, storage space is limited.

Things to bring:

Despite providing life jackets, we recommend wearing warm, comfortable, and quick-drying clothes, including an extra warm jacket, to ensure your comfort throughout the tour. Don't forget to bring along a towel, a bottle of water, and a packet of biscuits to keep you hydrated and energized during the excursion. If you're prone to seasickness, we advise taking seasickness tablets before the tour. Rubber or plastic shoes that you don't mind getting wet are also recommended for walking on the beach.
