Advantage Cruiser is best known for its thrilling activities on Lake St Lucia and the open ocean. A two-hour trip on our luxury double-decker passenger ferry, led by enthusiastic guides, allows guests to admire the views and maybe encounter hippos, crocodiles, prolific birdlife, dolphins and whales.
Established in 1991 by Danie and Riëtte Bennett, Advantage Cruiser has permits to be within 50m of the whales. We pride ourselves on the quality of our service and standards of safety. We offer everything from whale watching to deep-sea fishing and laidback boat cruises

Although we had booked two whale watching trips for three people on 24 and 25 August, unfortunately they were cancelled due to bad weather conditions. We tried to postpone one of the trips to Monday 26th but it was cancelled again. We cannot give an opinion as all trips were cancelled. However, in September 2023 we were able to go on one trip and it was a great experience. So this year we decided to book and try two trips. We hope to return in the next few years.
