What an amazing 5 days along the Garden Route. We were blessed with great weather and an excellent driver / tour guide, John, who looked after us. John was affable, flexible, knowledgeable and accommodating. Since we were the only 2 people who had signed up for this specific tour, it felt like John was our "personal" tour guide! John was an excellent driver / photographer with a wealth of knowledge of the Garden Route including where to stop for the best views, lunch and dinner locations, and had general information about South Africa. There was a good variety of activities along the route - parks, lighthouses, vineyards, caves, beaches, shipwrecks, penguin colonies, etc. The accommodations were unique and well appointed and offered good breakfasts. We were extremely happy with is tour and would highly recommend it. Thank you, John.

We spent the day exploring Port Elizabeth with our excellent driver, Zanemvula and walking guide, Camo, both of whom were prompt, informative, considerate and humourous. The walking tour included main highlights of the P.E. (a city which is in need of some TLC), a fun lunch and tasty beer tastings at RHBC Brewery, and later an informative drive through the township of Walmer with a specific focus on "projects" for community improvement. Unfortunately, the tour did not include the beautiful drive along the coastline into the Cape Recife Nature Reserve which has lovely beaches, a lighthouse and a penguin sanctuary. Overall we were happy with the tour.

We had an incredible experience on our customized Garden Route tour with John. From start to finish, everything felt so thoughtful and well-curated. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and we got to see such a wide variety of stunning sights that we never would have found on our own. John was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the entire trip---he added context and insight at stops and during the drive. He also shared about South African culture and history and his first-hand experiences growing up there, which made the experience even more meaningful. Afroventures and John struck the perfect balance between having a plan and allowing flexibility, adjusting the itinerary seamlessly based on weather, our energy levels, and timing around meals. Speaking of meals---the food was amazing! Every stop felt intentional and elevated the overall experience. We're so grateful for how effortless and enjoyable John and Afroventures made everything. Highly, highly recommend.

This Safari was wonderful and Sidwell was an amazing tour guide! He was very knowledgable about the animals and the park and we got to see Lions, Zebras, Water Buffalo, Meerkats, Antelope, Ostrich, Warthogs, Meerkats, and of cours many Elephants! I cannot reccomend this safari enough because it was such a smooth process from booking the reservation, being picked up from my hotel in the city, to doing the safari and then dropped off at my hotel. If you're debating what company to go with to experience Addo, I highly reccomend you choose this one!
