Whale Watchers in Hermanus offers you the chance to experience the rush of a close encounter with the planet’s largest mammals, a memorable experience that will open up a whole new world. Our permits allow us to get 50m from the whales and often when they see us, their inquisitive nature brings them closer.
The Whale Watchers’ boat has capacity for 36 passengers and is completely wheelchair friendly. The vessel is fully equipped and the twin hull provides superior stability ensuring your safety and comfort. Our Whale Watchers guides and crew are SAMA registered, highly experienced and multilingual.

Loved the whale watching trip! We saw a mother and a calf. Amazing to see those magnificent animals so close by. The crew respects the animals. They keep their distance, and don't bother them. But you have plenty of time to watch the whales. A must-do when in South Africa.

What can I say....this has been our 4th trip with the Hermans Whales Watchers and it's just a really nice experience every time. We will be coming back next year for sure. However, this year we had the most "whale time" ever :-) We were lucky to come very close to several mammas with their babies in the bay. If you want to do whale watching in Hermans - use their service. We think their boats are the better choice compared to the other company in hermans for several reasons.

We had a great stay in Hermanus, it has been wonderful to have had the change of watching the beautiful animals, and our guid was very nice and had a wonderful way of telling all about the Wale. If we visit hermanus again , we definitely come again
