Whale Watchers in Hermanus offers you the chance to experience the rush of a close encounter with the planet’s largest mammals, a memorable experience that will open up a whole new world. Our permits allow us to get 50m from the whales and often when they see us, their inquisitive nature brings them closer.
The Whale Watchers’ boat has capacity for 36 passengers and is completely wheelchair friendly. The vessel is fully equipped and the twin hull provides superior stability ensuring your safety and comfort. Our Whale Watchers guides and crew are SAMA registered, highly experienced and multilingual.

I recently had the pleasure of taking part in the whale watching boat trip and it was a great experience! The boat itself was the perfect size - not too crowded, which made the trip comfortable and enjoyable. We had plenty of space to move around and get great views of the whales. The guides on board were very friendly and easy to talk to, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Their enthusiasm and passion for marine life was evident, and they shared a wealth of information about the whales and the surrounding ecosystem. All in all, it was a wonderful trip!
