Whale Watchers in Hermanus offers you the chance to experience the rush of a close encounter with the planet’s largest mammals, a memorable experience that will open up a whole new world. Our permits allow us to get 50m from the whales and often when they see us, their inquisitive nature brings them closer.
The Whale Watchers’ boat has capacity for 36 passengers and is completely wheelchair friendly. The vessel is fully equipped and the twin hull provides superior stability ensuring your safety and comfort. Our Whale Watchers guides and crew are SAMA registered, highly experienced and multilingual.

We were a group of 15 and had an amazing time! The tour started on time and the organisation went super smoothly. We found one spot with 5 whales and stayed there for one hour, getting knowledge about the animals and having a really good time. Thanks a lot!

Very good. Were very respectful of the whales. Not getting too close. Crew were good and keeping a look out for marine life, identifying dolphins and providing good information . Skipper did well turning the boat so everyone got to see the whales. They advised we would likely see a breach and were absolutely correct and enabled everyone to get good photos.
