Whale Watchers in Hermanus offers you the chance to experience the rush of a close encounter with the planet’s largest mammals, a memorable experience that will open up a whole new world. Our permits allow us to get 50m from the whales and often when they see us, their inquisitive nature brings them closer.
The Whale Watchers’ boat has capacity for 36 passengers and is completely wheelchair friendly. The vessel is fully equipped and the twin hull provides superior stability ensuring your safety and comfort. Our Whale Watchers guides and crew are SAMA registered, highly experienced and multilingual.

Loved our boat trip to watch the whales. The staff were great and it was amazing to get so close. Hundreds of dolphins were the icing on the cake! Would not recommend to people who get sea sick though!

Fantastic experience saw a couple of whales including a humpback but the best part was being in the middle of a huge pod of dolphins and we are talking hundreds!! Have never seen anything like it before and feel very privileged to have been able to witness them. The boat was clean, the crew were amazing and very knowledgeable . Would recommend this trip.
