On Safari Africa
Where passion for wildlife meets expertly planned safari experiences across South Africa.
On Safari Africa started in the mid-90s when a group of passionate locals saw a simple need - helping guests move between lodges in the Kruger region. From there, things naturally grew. What began as transfers quickly turned into safaris, tours, and full wildlife experiences - because once you’re surrounded by the bush, it’s impossible not to want to share it.
Today, we’re a safari and nature-focused touring company built around one thing: real African wildlife, in real wild places, guided by people who genuinely belong there.
Most of our guides grew up in and around these parks. The bush isn’t something they learned from a textbook - it’s where they played as kids, where their families worked, and where their respect for wildlife was shaped. Over time, that passion became a profession. A profession that not only creates unforgettable experiences for guests but also supports families, builds skills, and feeds local communities.
And honestly - if you’re going to explore the African wilderness, why wouldn’t you do it with people who know it like the back of their hand?
We don’t do scripted safaris or guaranteed sightings. Nature doesn’t work like that - and that’s the beauty of it. Every drive is different, every moment is real, and every experience is shaped by the rhythms of the wild, not a checklist.
We design our tours to be ethical, responsible, and respectful - for wildlife, for ecosystems, and for the people who call these places home. That means small groups, thoughtful practices, and a deep awareness that we are guests in nature, not owners of it.
We also know you’re on holiday - and this is probably something you’ve dreamed about for a long time. So while we take conservation seriously, we also make sure your experience is relaxed, fun, meaningful, and something you’ll talk about long after you’ve gone home.
On Safari Africa is about connection - to wildlife, to people, to place, and to the feeling of being somewhere truly wild. If you’re looking for a safari that’s authentic, locally rooted, ethically run, and full of heart - you’re in the right place.
