Dyer Island Cruises proudly offers a unique Marine Big 5 Safari in the picturesque fishing town of Gansbaai, nestled in the Overberg region. During whale season you may well see all 5, being, the Southern Right Whale, Great White Shark, Seals, Penguins and dolphins.
Founded in 2000 by Wilfred Chivell as the first-whale watching business in the region. Dyer Island Cruises is a leader in its field and has made great contributions to marine conservation as well as unrivaled knowledge of the marine eco-systems in the area.

had a really great experience on this boat tour. The crew was amazing, very friendly, helpful, and attentive throughout the entire trip. Unfortunately, I got seasick during the tour, but the crew took great care of me and made sure I felt supported and comfortable, which I really appreciated. They clearly did their best to help everyone see as many animals as possible and were very engaged in making the experience special for everyone on board. The whole tour was well organized, relaxed, and very enjoyable overall. I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone looking for a great experience on the water!

We had an amazing experience overall. We received a warm welcome with coffee and muffins before heading out to see four of the Big Five. The crew did everything in their power to make the trip memorable, and we truly appreciated their effort and enthusiasm throughout the experience. We were especially impressed by Laticia---she was very knowledgeable and incredibly hands-on when I started to feel slightly seasick. Her kindness and professionalism did not go unnoticed. We hope she is recognized as a key asset to the team. Thank you again and we might just come back to see the dolphins next time!

great experience and service. The pick up and drop off were easy and pretty smooth. the driver was this kind that he dropped off to a more convenient location of my preference when back in Cape Town. The services and staff were excellent. they took great care of us during the trip, they ensured that we all get to see the animals without being intrusive or irrispenctful to the wildlife. they provided a lot of information about the animals that i really appreciated. Definitely recommend it.
