Dyer Island Cruises proudly offers a unique Marine Big 5 Safari in the picturesque fishing town of Gansbaai, nestled in the Overberg region. During whale season you may well see all 5, being, the Southern Right Whale, Great White Shark, Seals, Penguins and dolphins.
Founded in 2000 by Wilfred Chivell as the first-whale watching business in the region. Dyer Island Cruises is a leader in its field and has made great contributions to marine conservation as well as unrivaled knowledge of the marine eco-systems in the area.

Thanks to the crew for a great trip. We spent a huge amount of time with a Southern Right Whale and calf. The mother was enormous and so serene. Amazingly the calf was tail slapping which was wonderful. We saw a Bronze whaler shark at the cage diving boat and then visited Dyer Island to see the endangered African Cape Penguins and the large, noisy and smelly Cape Fur Seal colony and warlrus. Comfortable boat, great commentary and wonderful views of the coastline. Great day out ?

Wonderful day with Marine Dynamics. My previous days trip in Hermanus was cancelled at short notice and we were fitted into the Marine Dynamics boat on the 9am trip. I travelled 6000 miles from London to see the Southern Right whales and boy they did not disappoint. The boat captain was very courteous with the whales and never got too close, but we saw plenty for about an hour. Was absolutely thrilled.
