The Vredenheim Wine Estate in Stellenbosch is no ordinary wine farm! There’s something for everyone at this family owned estate. Experience our superb range of wines with wine tastings in our tasting room, or paired with excellent food at Plaaslik Restaurant. Our unique Big Cats Park is home to Lions, Tigers, and Leopard. We have a variety of wildlife and game on the farm. We have a choice of venues for the perfect wedding or function and our picture-perfect gardens are especially inviting for picnics or leisurely lunches.

The feeding was very interesting and the guide was great! It was interesting to hear about the diets of the different cats and also to watch them eat. The guide was able to answer various questions about the cats too. The only down side about it was that there were a lot of people in the group watching the feeding with many kids that were constantly making a noise, which made it very difficult to hear what the guide was saying without squeezing to the front of the group. I would suggest maybe using a microphone so people at the back of a large group can also hear what is being said, or limit the feeding with bookings. I would love to go back when it is more quiet since I was not able to hear most of what was being said about the animals and would have really liked to.

It's was a lovely experience, our 3 year old son was fascinated and liked both, the cat feeding and the game drive. The kiddo bag was stuffed with sweet things, also to his liking. The game drive was a fun experience and the duration was just right. We were able to see plenty of animals such as zebras, elands, springbok. One remark: our drive took place with the game vehicle and not the tractor, which was fine for us, but our son was soo looking forward to the tractor ride, maybe it's best to mention it on the homepage that both could be used. We had been telling him about the tractor for several days.

Vredenheim is absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed our visit. The cat park was a highlight and a wonderful experience, and the service throughout was excellent. The game drive package, which included droe wors, cheese, water, and grape juice, was a nice touch and well presented. However, we were a bit disappointed with the actual game drive itself. The setting wasn't as appealing as we had hoped, as you are surrounded by husy roads and there wasn't much wildlife to see. That said, our guide was fantastic---very friendly and engaging---which made the experience more enjoyable overall.

This was my birthday outing with my little family but it was so special for us all. My kids were so happy to see the wild cats and the animal tour. It was truly a memorable moment for us all and an experience we looking to do again!
