Nyosi Wildlife Reserve

Whether you wish to escape and relax, or to explore and reconnect with nature, Nyosi Wildlife Reserve caters for both the discerning and the adventurous.

How to Enjoy Nyosi Wildlife Reserve

Nyosi Wildlife Reserve is a pristine nature and wildlife reserve located at the heart of what conservation icon Dr Ian Player once identified as the "new wilderness frontier".

Nestled by urbanisation and set within an expansive 2 500-hectare land parcel, the reserve is made up of five of South Africa’s nine indigenous biomes sprawling across rolling and picturesque plains and valleys; lands which host a natural sanctuary to an abundance of wildlife, plains game and birdlife.

Fresh fynbos-scented air, a picture-perfect scenery, and free-roaming wildlife all come together to provide a unique indoor/outdoor experience for visitors of all ages.

Nyosi Wildlife Reserve offers not only the tranquillity brought about by being surrounded by nature, but also a variety of family-friendly entertainment options that allow its guests to relax in a natural and safe environment, and escape from the hustle and bustle of the city life.

It was absolutely AWESOME. The staff at Reception were helpful...and everything was ready for us within a few minutes of us arriving. Danny came to welcome us, and we ended up having a a really good chat. He is super friendly... and gave us a lot of information about Nysoi The game drive with Jack - was fantastic. He has such a passion and love for what he does and it shows! He was very informative, knowledgeable.... and respectful to us and the animals that we came into contact with. Our game drive was superb! It was also really interesting to hear about the reserve and all the different types of vegetation on the reserve and its uses. Getting up close, and spending time with the buffalo and cheetahs was such a privilege... as well as the giraffe and other antelope. Breakfast was absolutely delicious... big thank you to the Chef, kitchen and serving staff. Thank you for making the morning of our Wedding Anniversary - really special!

It is a beautiful setting. I reviewed the communication I received re the booking and I could not pick up that no gifts were permitted unless the entire venue is hired out. Since we were celebrating 2 birthdays it was quite disappointing. No Jam available for breakfast. Second visit was not as enjoyable as my first breakfast.

It was my fiance birthday weekend and we had the best experience, the game drive was something we always wanted to experience. And Nyosis staff delivered, the tour guide knew all the perfect routes to spot all the animals we anticipated to see. We even saw cheetahs, zebras, Buffalo and many more. It was definitely worth!
