Sailing across Knysna’s expansive liquid landscape on board Springtide Charter’s sleek 50ft mono hull yacht is a truly memorable experience. A definite must do activity when visiting the Garden Route. Departing daily from the popular Knysna Waterfront, Springtide Charters offers a variety of different sailing charter options. Our highly experienced crew will take to the helm so you can relax and take in the splendour of our rugged coastline; sailing, salt air and scenery all an exhilarating combination.
Knysna is one of South Africa’s premier whale watching destinations, its indigo depths teeming with hundreds of migrating whales. Ocean Odyssey is the only Close Encounter Whale Watching permit holder for the Greater Knysna area. Throughout the year we also offer Marine Eco-Tours. We are passionate about showcasing both the whales that frequent our local waters as well as the many other fascinating species that exist within the complex web of marine life. The SunSet cruise was incredible on this beautiful monohull sailing yacht! We were lucky to be just the two of us on board, making it a private cruise. The two skippers are true professionals and very friendly. For the price of the cruise, the picnic dinner was generous and came with a bottle of Cape Classic. A truly wonderful memory.

Well organized and executed whale watching trip. Convenient introduction and onboarding, knowledge captain & staff, comfortable, secure and well-maintained boat. Encouters with humpback whales and dolphins was a great experience. Captain Johannes positioned the boat well and kept proper distance. Both my family and I can recommend - would do it again!

Great service and friendly staff. As it was the very end of the season we didn't see any Whales or Dolphins. But we enjoyed to views and saw plenty of birds, a Cape Fur Seal and beautiful coastline - up close at times. Definitely would recommend this trip and felt confident and safe with the boat handlers.
